my neighbors little girl mallory, wears makeup when she goes places and she is 6! her mom applies mascara, blush and a teeny bit of eyeliner…is she a bad mother for doing that? (i know this cuz the other day i went out to eat with their family, and she was wearing makeup and she says her mommy always lets her wear makeup when they go places)

I don’t think that I would go so far as to call her a bad mother, but I don think that she is making a bad decision. There is no reason for a little girl to wear makeup, even on a special occasion. They’ll have plenty of time for that when they are adults.

oh I see those little girls and they look just awful, and quite embarrased because everyone is looking in shock!
What are there parents thinking of …..a 6 year old wearing make up makes no sense to normal people, only to the sick ones…..whats the point them ?

I wouldn’t call her a bad mom, but I don’t think it’s a good idea to allow little girls to wear make-up except when they’re playing dress up. Make up is for two reasons– to cover flaws and to make one look sexier. A little girl has no need for make-up, and its use could invite unwelcome attention from weirdos.

I don’t see anything wrong with it as long as she isn’t over doing it. It culd be something special from them like mommy and daughter time beofre going out somewhere special. The little girl can look forward to it . If she understands that its only for special occasions then she must think of it as something special.

Um, maybe not blush and eyeliner. THat’s a little much but mascara seems fine. I think the little girl will grow up thinkin she’s not pretty unless she always wears makup if she started wearing that much at age 6!

I think kids under their teen years shouldn’t call too much attention to themselves. It screams Jail Bait.

I don’t think that’s a good idea. It deteriorates the skin cells on that child’s face.
