I stopped using blush because everytime I apply it, it looks fake. I’m using a Covergirl pink/peach blush and I have a powder brush. So where/how to apply to make it look natural and sun kissed?

I am pale with pink undertones, my blush color was discontinued.Can you recommend a good brand/color.I have dark brown hair, hazel eyes,fair slight freckles on the nose.
